These fine artists were given the following guidelines:
Maine farmers grow a delicious selection of food
throughout the year. Be creative, what’s your favorite season?
Draw/color what the farmer is growing in his or her field. Your
farmer could be growing fresh greens for salad in the spring,
plump vegetables in the summer, bright orange pumpkins in the
fall, or green balsam Christmas trees in the winter.
Your drawing will be judged on its creativity.
Thank you to all who entered. All
submissions are the property of the Western Mountains
Alliance and will be used to promote local agriculture in western
Maine.

The food we consume is first most important in supporting health. But by increasing the amount of locally produced food we consume, we do much more. We support a healthier environment, preserve open spaces and contribute to the local economy – all by putting fresh food on the table. Won’t you join us? |
