The Forum will begin with a complimentary networking breakfast at 7 a.m., followed by breakout panels. Republican and Democratic gubernatorial primary candidates will present at 7:30 a.m. in separate rooms in North Dining Hall at the Olsen Student Center. Registration is requested for meal planning purposes.  Please contact the Western Mountains Alliance at (207) 778-3885 or info@westernmountainsalliance.org by April 22.

Confirmed Republican candidates participating in the event are Bill Beardsley, Matt Jacobson, Paul LePage and Sen. Peter Mills.  Confirmed Democratic candidates participating are Rosa Scarcelli, Steve Rowe and Sen. Libby Mitchell.  Donna Dion is running as a write-in candidate on the democratic ballot.  There is no Green Independent party candidate for this primary.

The forum is an opportunity to learn about the candidates before Maine’s primary election June 8.  Residents must be enrolled in a party to participate in the primary election. However, residents that are currently unenrolled may enroll in a party at any time, including the day of the primary.  Enrollment applications are available at municipal registrar offices.
